Thank You Dad

Good morning, Steph here.

There is something about a handmade gift bag and tag that lets an individual know you truly do care about them.  I know that Father's Day has just passed, but that won't stop me from using this gift bag for another occasion.  There is always a birthday!
After decorating the gift bag with assorted papers, I felt a special tag was needed, so I pulled out my Piccolo Card decor and seperated these awesome Gears.  How manly are they!

I ran the tag through my Cuttlebug with a Sizzix Embossing Folder - embossing just the top half.   I then added Adhesive around the edges of the tag and added Vintage Silver. which gave the tag a great metallic effect.  I added Vintage Silver and Mermaid Tears to the Gears which I then added to the tag.  Some Twine, wrapped around the center of the tag, finished it off nicely.

The sentiment was stamped with Clearsnap's Watermark Twinkle on some white cardstock.  Mermaid Tears was added on top and heat set - perfect!   I love that I can use these powders on sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by today.

My Dear Mother Vintage Frame

Daniela here with a beautiful Globeframe!  This is one of the most fun projects to put together!  With the Globecraft Memories Bubble Frames, you can create a beautiful keepsake for yourself or any loved one.  This one is definitely for me.  I have great pictures of my mother growing up and love to make vintage inspired pieces to show them off.  The GlobeCraft Memories Frame does just that!  With their enamel embossing powders you can achieve the vintage look so easily!

Because the frame has a few layers you can achieve a beautiful 3 dimensional feel.  You can see from this picture that I used different papers and to make each layer stand out. I used the Gold Enamel Powder on one of the frame pieces as well.

The GlobeCraft Memories Enamel Embossing Powders are FANTASTIC!  They work beautifully and have such dimension and are so easy to use!  I used the Mermaid Tears Powder on this chipboard butterfly and I love how it turned out!

I hope you have enjoyed this project!  I loved making it!  With the variety of different frames, powders and Piccolo embellishments GlobeCraft Memories has designed, you can create beautiful keepsakes for yourself or someone you love!

Make Art} Classic Story Teller Rectangle Globeframe

Good morning everyone, Stacy here with you today to share a fun little project that I created with the Classic Story Tellers Grand Rectangle Globeframe.  If you have not tried these products all I can say is that it is a MUST!!!  You will simply fall in love with what you can create.

Ok so first gather all your supplies.  Paper, Glastique, Piccolo enamel powder adhesive, and of course the enamel powders ( I used Temple Stone)!

I wanted to stamp the perfect saying so that I could display this in my creative studio.  The saying is "When the heart & hands all work together...it is then that you can make art".  So I cut a piece of pattern paper so the size of one of the pieces of the frame.  By doing this I knew that my saying would be centered.

So I stamped the sentiment then sprinkled alot of enamel powder (Temple Stone) over it, of course shaking off the excess and placing that back into the container.

Now this step is simple, just heat set the enamel powder.

I covered the base of the frame with the Piccolo enamel powder adhesive and sprinkled Temple Stone enamel powder all over it and heat set this as well.

This is what it looked like when I was done.

So now for the smaller pieces of the frame that go around the globe.  I wanted to simply adhere paper to these.  So I cut paper to the size of the pieces, placed the paper on them, then filed around them them until they were smooth.

Now you simply put it all together using the Glastique and then embellish.  Here is my final project.

You can also try this out or any of the fabulous products here at GlobeCraft Memories...and here is a discount code for you that the wonderful owners of GlobeCraft Memories have given you to use!

Preserving Her Memory

Good morning, Steph here with a memory globe I created featuring an awesome photo of my Grandmother and Great Grandmother circa 1940.  It has always been with my Mother and then came to me when she recently passed.  I know I had to do something fabulous with this photo.  Globecraft Memories to the rescue!

I used adhesive on all layers and added assorted Powders - Enchanted Aubergine, Victorian Bronze, Mermaid Tears, and Brown Stone on the Globecraft Memories Bubble Frame pieces.  The little bits of white showing are from the Brown Stone Powder.  If you saw this in person, you'd see that it actually looks like bits of real stone.   Once I had all the layers done, I adhered them together.

I'll let you in on a secret - I placed the globe on wrong and didn't notice it till I was done.  The globe should have gone under the various layers, but instead I placed it on top - oops!!!  Since it was already complete, I couldn't pull it apart, so I added the globe and debated what I could do.  I decided to add some rhinestones around the globe hoping they would cover my little "mistake".

I put glue around the Globecraft Memories Bubble then placed the rhinestones. To be sure they'd stay permanently in place, I added some Glastique on top of the rhinestones.   It worked beautifully and I love how this Globecraft Memoreis Bubble Frame turned out.

So, next you you do something a little "off", think outside the box - you may be truly surprised at what you can accomplish!!

Glastique Finishing Glaze

Siam, Thank you ma'am!

Hello, Allie here back with more Globecraft magic! At first glance, you might think these keys and butterflies are metal. Not so! With a little bit of magic using Piccolo Enamel Powder in Siam Silver, these beauties are turned into metallic looking art. I was first intimidated by these powders. I quickly learned they are very easy to use.

To start this project, I removed the keys using tweezers.

1

Next, I dabbed the keys and butterflies with enamel powder adhesive.  I then sprinkled Siam Silver enamel powder on the pieces. I shook off the excess powder and embossed using my heat tool. Another option is to bake at 350-400 degrees for 60-70 seconds.  You can tell when the whole piece is coated by the color change. I repeated this process twice for both sides of each piece.

4

After embossing, I coat side one with Glasstique. Once that side dries, I coat the other side. 5
While waiting for these pieces to dry, I cut my chain, chose my findings, and placed my beads on the bracelet.

7

Once everything is dry, it’s time to add the jump rings and attach to the bracelet. The final fun step – wear the bracelet!!

Thank you for stopping by and sharing more magic with me.

Until next time, this is Allie, from Well Trained Paper. See you again soon!

Welcome Home Piccolo Style

Welcome to the Globecraft Memories blog,

Pinky here with a Welcome Home handmade card that has an
extra special touch from Globecraft Memories.
I thought I would share with you how I heat set the beautiful and
intricate Piccolo Heart Charm pieces.
Step 1. Coat each charm with Piccolo Enamel Powder Adhesive.
Base-BrownStone, Heart-Vintage Gold, Love- Mardi Gras

Step 2. Carefully hold each piece with tweezers (silicone tipped tweezers shown here).
Step 3. Turn heat gun on away from chipboard let heat up for 5 seconds.
Step 4. Apply heat using heat gun for 3-10 seconds depending on desired effect.
Step 5. For base re-apply Enamel Powder Adhesive and Brownstone Enamel
Powder for more dimensional look.
Step 6. Layer using strong chipboard adhesive.

Here is a photo after they have all been heat set.
You can see the different colors of Enamel Powder really make a difference
when you layer the pieces into one. I added gemstones to the top and bottom
as well for an added shine.
When your card is complete it is ready to give with a smile.
A sweet handmade gesture anyone is sure to enjoy.
I hope you found some inspiration to create today.
